1. GENERAL PROVISIONS:
1.1. The Career Portal is a specialized online platform designed to support career guidance, professional development and the connection between education, business and young professionals in the aviation sector.
1.2. The platform provides structured information on training opportunities, professions and career pathways within the industry.
1.3. The Portal is administered by the Bulgarian Aviation Industry Association (BAIA), a nationally representative organization uniting companies, training centers, airports, and airlines.
1.4. Use of the Portal requires registration and the voluntary provision of information, which is processed in accordance with the legal requirements for the protection of personal data.

2. FINANCIAL TERMS AND ACCESS:
2.1. Access to and use of the functionalities of the Career Portal are completely free of charge for professionals and candidates (job seekers, pupils, and students), as well as for employers and training organizations that are active members of the Bulgarian Aviation Industry Association (BAIA).
2.2. For employers and legal entities that are not members of BAIA, access to the full functionalities of the Portal is subject to payment.
2.3. The specific financial terms, fees, and access packages for non-member employers are determined and updated by a decision of the Management Board of BAIA and are provided during the registration process.
3. CATEGORIZATION OF ORGANIZATIONS AND DATA SHARING:
3.1. Legal entities registering on the Portal are classified into 11 sectors according to their activity, for the purpose of systematisation of the job listings:
- Airlines: Passenger, cargo, charter and ACMI operators.
- Airport Operators: Airport authorities, operators and concessionaires.
- Ground Handling and Aviation Services: Ground handling, cargo services, passenger services, fueling and maintenance.
- Maintenance, Repair and Engineering (Part 145, Part CAMO and Part 21): Line and base maintenance, component repairs, engineering and design.
- Training Centers and Schools: ATO / DTO, simulator centers and VET training.
- Higher Education Institutions and Research Institutes: Universities, colleges and scientific institutions.
- Logistics and Cargo Operators: Cargo airlines, freight forwarders and integrators.
- Specialized Aviation Software: Flight Ops software, ATC systems, Airport Management Systems and simulation software.
- Drone Companies and UAS Operators: Manufacturers, UTM providers and training centers.
- Regulatory and Industry Оrganisations: Aviation authorities, associations and certification bodies.
3.2. Sharing with Third Parties: For the purpose of fulfilling the main function of the Portal – connecting students and job seekers with employers – personal data from candidate profiles (including qualifications and experience) may be shared with legal entities registered on the platform (employers and training organizations) when applying for a specific job posting or when included in the job seekers database.
4. PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED AND SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
4.1. Standard Personal Data: Upon registration and profile creation, the Portal collects basic identifying information, including name, email address, contact phone number, date of birth, and photograph.
4.2 Specific qualification requirements: Applicants shall declare possession of the appropriate licences and certificates as required by EASA and national legislation:
- Flight Crew: Type of license (PPL, CPL, ATPL) and a valid medical certificate.
- Technical Personnel: Confirmation of qualification (e.g., Part-66/AML license).
- Students and Pupils: Indication of educational institution and field of study.
- Security: Confirmation of a clean criminal record and completion of specialized aviation security training.
5. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION (GDPR) AND LEGAL BASIS:
5.1. Legal Basis: Processing is carried out on the basis of consent (upon registration), legitimate interest (for the purposes of administrative control and portal security), and for the performance of these Terms and Conditions.
5.2. Data Retention Period: Personal data is stored until the user profile is deleted. In the case of a specific recruitment procedure conducted by an employer, candidates’ data is retained for a period of up to 6 months, unless explicit consent is provided for a longer period.
5.3. Return of Documents: Submitted originals or notarized copies of qualification documents are returned to unsuccessful candidates within 6 months after the completion of the recruitment procedure.
5.4. Identity Documents: The Controller does not copy identity documents, driving licenses, or residence documents, unless explicitly required by law.
5.5. Exercise of Rights: The rights of access, rectification, erasure, and restriction of processing may be exercised by submitting a written request to office@baia.bg or through actions available in the Portal interface.

5.7. Cookies and Security: The platform uses cookies to ensure the proper functioning of the website. The Controller implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect uploaded certificates and personal data against unauthorized access.
6. USE BY MINORS:
6.1. Registration of individuals under the age of 14 is lawful only with the explicit consent of a parent or legal guardian.
6.2. Individuals between the ages of 14 and 18 use the platform primarily for the purposes of education and career guidance.
7. VERIFICATION AND ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROL:
7.1. Based on its legitimate interest in maintaining a high level of quality and security in the aviation sector, BAIA shall have the right, where necessary, to carry out verification checks on the validity of candidates’ licenses and the classification of organizations.
7.2. In the event that false or misleading information is identified, the profile shall be subject to immediate deactivation.
7.3. Appeal Procedure: Objections to deactivation may be submitted within 7 days to: office@baia.bg, and BAIA shall issue a decision within 10 working days.
8. RIGHT TO LODGE A COMPLAINT:
Any data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP) in the event of a violation of their rights, within the statutory period of 6 months from becoming aware of the violation, but no later than two years from the date of its occurrence.
